Mikeworth Adoption Fund

We're the Mikeworth's.  We are an adoptive/foster family living in east-central Illinois.  We are raising money for the Adoption of our daughter Jayde from China.  We've recently started an adoption blog in which we are chronicling the journey at http://pursuingatreasurepriceless.blogspot.com/

Jayde is a beautiful girl we met this summer through a hosting program and we fell in love with her.  She was orphaned as an infant, being found on the roadside and has lived her entire thirteen years in an orphanage.  She is diagnosed as "special needs" with cognitive and physical challenges.

Jayde's biggest challenge, however, is time.  Once an orphan turns fourteen,  they can no longer be adopted.  Many of these children have to leave the orphanage and find their way on their own without anyone to care for them.

We are desperately trying to beat this birthday deadline in the adoption of our daughter but we need help.  We are in process of wading into the paperwork and visas required for international adoption.  With this comes the continual need for processing fees, charges, and even saving for the expenses of traveling to China for the stipulated two weeks.  We are looking for those who will come along side of us and join us in bringing this special needs girl home before she is lost to the notion of "family" forever.  To us, this has become a ransom for a life and we are willing to do whatever it takes to bring our daughter home.
