RRVP - Milk 4 Kids & Milk 4 Seniors 65+

The Rock River Valley Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides four days of nutritious food, on a monthly basis, to those that are experiencing food insecurity within our community. In any given month, we see over 6,800 households in urgent need of assistance. Of those, 35% are children and 8% are adults over 65. The largest percentage of our clients consist of the working poor, which in Illinois makes up almost 1/3 of the population. We also serve veterans, the handicapped, the homeless, those with mental illness, and single head of households.

Our main pantry is located at 421 S. Rockton Avenue. We also offer a second, smaller facility at Broadway and 7th Street /Crusader Clinic building. Both locations are open 5 days a week. The Pantry staff consists of three full-time and three part-time employees. We depend heavily on our dedicated team of 125 volunteers, which includes our Board of Directors. We receive no government assistance, and our primary source of support comes from private donations. We are very proud of the fact that 94 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to client services.  

We are looking to raise donations to help us continue to provide milk for our children and seniors in our community.
