Miracle For Marty
Donation protected
Marty and the Brogan Family need your help! On January 10, 2017, 4-year-old Marty Brogan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. He has Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), which only 300 children in the United States are diagnosed with a year. Marty has an extremely large tumor that covers his pelvis and abdomen. The cancer has unfortunately spread to his lungs.
Marty’s Mom (Karen) and Dad (Pat) noticed Marty in discomfort and limping a few months back. They took him to multiple doctors and were told his pain was due to scar tissue from a hernia surgery he had over a year ago. On Friday, January 6th, they went back to the pediatric surgeon who did his surgery and upon inspection he found a large mass in his abdomen. On Monday & Tuesday Marty went through multiple tests and procedures that lead to the discovery and diagnoses of Rhabdomyosarcoma (a cancer of the soft tissue). Treatment had to start immediately at Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn.
This sudden and horrible news has devastated our entire family. We are asking for donations to help the Brogans because of the financial burden that Marty’s fight will bring. Marty is set for nine continuous months of chemotherapy to fight RMS. Karen and Pat (and Marty’s siblings Molly and Tommy) already have too much on their plate, please help them have one less thing to worry about and make a donation today.
Pat is a Chicago Public School Teacher and Karen is a stay-at-home mom raising their 3 children. Both had additional jobs to make extra income that they need in order to pay monthly bills. They will not have time for these additional jobs and appreciate any and all donations. Your donation will help Karen and Pat be at Marty’s side so he has the support he needs to fight this rare cancer.
Thank you!
