Miri's House Spay/Neuter Fund
Miri's House Cat & Kitten Rescue is a small rescue group that specializes in fostering mother cats with kittens. We chose our name to honor Miri, a homeless cat we took in so she could have her kittens in a safe and loving environment.
We currently are fostering one mother cat, six nursing kittens, and one older kitten who will be available for adoption soon. We are also looking for help for some community cats and two litters of kittens living outdoors. Depending on their status, we would either like to find a safe outdoor sanctuary for them or foster them until they can find adoptive homes. All of them will need spay/neutering and vaccinations.
Our last GoFundMe campaign made it possible to register as a nonprofit corporation in the state of Massachusetts, so all donations are tax-deductible.
Our current funding drive is to provide vaccinations, vet exams, and spay surgery to Nimbus, a four-month-old kitten currently in foster care, and Opal, the mama cat we are fostering, and her six kittens, to give them a chance to find loving homes. Please help us fund Miri's House Cat & Kitten Rescue so we can keep the cats we have safe, and continue to rescue more cats in the future.
The cost for one cat to be spayed or neutered, including exam, rabies vaccination, first immunizations, and pain medicine, is approximately $150. For eight cats, that's $1200, not including food, litter, and any other required medical care. We are grateful for any amount you can donate, and we appreciate the help we have gotten in the past.
Updates will be posted here, on our Facebook page , and on the Miri's House web site .
