Miss Black Alabama USA 2016

Hello!

My name is LaQuitta (Shai) Wilkins , Miss Black Alabama USA 2016. I would like to start off by thanking you for your decision to support me during my reign! So a little about myself. I am a native of Aliceville, AL and currently lives in Harvest, AL. I am a high school graduate of Sparkman High School class of 2007, where I received an Advanced Academic Diploma with Honors. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at Belmont University in 2012. I am currently working as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse. 

My platform as Miss Black Alabama USA is called the "Heart of the Matter". My focus is to bring awareness to all communities regarding health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension. I aim to help educate on prevention and management of health issues that accompany living an unhealthy lifestyle. I believe my career of being a registered nurse for three years is pivotal in helping promote this platform in the best way possible. 

I will be competing for the national title of Miss Black USA, which will be held in Washington, DC during the month of August 2016. Your support means a lot to me. All donations will go towards:

-Travel expenses to the National Pageant in Washington, D.C
-Hotel expenses during Pageant Week
-Advertising Fees
-Hair/Makeup
-Professional Photos
-Attire for appearances
-Pageant wardrobe which includes: Evening Gown, Fitness wear, Talent, and others.
