On November 5, 2014, the life of beautiful Molly Beckman changed forever. A terrible accident, falling face first through a double-paned (non safety glass) window, began what will be a very long journey of recovery.
The injury to her face is severe. The right side of her nose is mostly gone; the glass sliced it off and cut completely through her cheek and mouth. The tear duct of her right eye was severed. She has over 100 stitches; multiple broken teeth; many bone fractures; and damage to the ligaments at the base of the skull. Although she has undergone two surgeries already, reconstruction will not be possible for several months and will require multiple surgeries over an extended period of time.
The severe pain and suffering is physical as well as emotional. She will not be able to work and we are diligently working on insurance. Regardless, the financial aspect is daunting. The support of friends, family and community is so important during this time. Her trust in God provides hope and the expectation of renewal.
