Mom (Carol Dalven) Funeral Donations

Back on Mother’s Day 2018 I received a call at work that my mother had a seizure and a mild stroke and was being rushed to Torrance Memorial. As the Doctors ran their tests the found four tumors in her brain so they went looking for more. They found that my mom was in stage four lung cancer that had already spread to her bone and her brain. Mom began radiation treatments and then had to wait a month to start her immunotherapy chemo after to treatments mom developed a rare syndrome what’s called Stevens Johnson syndrome and if you google it it’s when the body has a sever reaction to something and your body starts to burn. So as mom was fighting her cancer she had to use her strength to fight this which there is no treatments but high does of steroids and to treat the condition as it worsened. Mom then spent 3 weeks in the burn unit as she lost her skin on her back thighs and butt. She had pig skin graphs on her back I will never forget her screams as they were doing her wound care  but again mom fought and was able to come back home.  The syndrome discolored her skin but non the less improved but for the cancer to play the bigger roll and went into her spinal cord as well and into her chest and jaw. Mom became to week to go to her doctors appointments so they decided to put her on home hospice and not being on it for even two weeks my mom has lost her fight and the nurses are giving her til this weekend. The expenses are astronomical and I wasn’t able to afford 24/7 care so my boyfriend quite his job so it left my the only one working. I feel horrible that I had to result in asking for help but it’s my only choice I have. I know God will make a way somehow someway.  I love you mommy God Bless it’s time to be with Grandma May  and Tracey. Mom didn’t have any life or burial insurance so the money will be going towards her funeral services. She’s passed 1/4/19 @4:40 pm in our home.
