WHAT I AM DOING
My name is Sasha and this coming October I will be traveling to Morocco to participate in a motorcycle race called the Monkey Run. I am using the race as an opportunity to raise funds for my friend and high school classmate Jane Weintraub. Jane recently announced that she was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease at the age of 47. She is at the beginning of a life-long battle and will surely face significant challenges. ABOUT JANE
Jane's EOPD diagnosis in 2017 followed on the heels of years of non-motor symptoms. Due to changes in cognitive functioning, Jane chose to retire and focus her energy on increased well being and improved quality of life. Like many with the disease, she spends hours a day exercising and in quiet contemplation. In her prior life she worked as a leadership and business coach and taught marketing and entrepreneurship. She has had a fascination with how human beings operate and make meaning and is harnessing her curiosity to look into PD manifestation through multiple lenses.
