Just a little help from my friends

I never thought that I would be in this position. I'm a 61 year old waitress. I was divorced 16 years ago and somehow made it through raising my kids and never being late on my bills. Not much extra but we were happy.  Things have changed, I've had back problems for several years and thought it was just from work. My pain management did an MRI and now say I have spinal stenosis along with several other problems. My dr is not wanting  me to go back to work.  In February I will get a small am out from social security and I have applied for disability which may take until February . I owe 20000 in medical bills and have quit paying my credit cards. But my concern now is I have no money now for rent, utilities, insurance and food. I have  medications that need to be filled now. I am very embarrassed to be asking  for help, but thank you all for listening and being there. Thank you,
