Morelia's Journey to Brazil

My name is Morelia A. Robles and I am sixteen-years-old. I am currently in 11th grade. I am a musician, swimmer, and I love to read. I volunteer within my community through my reign as Miss Teen SCV and ever since I was thirteen I have raised funds to make Easter baskets for children in hospitals to remind them that people are thinking of them and to give them hope.

I am writing to you because I have been given the opportunity by Rotary Youth Exchange to go on a year-long exchange program to São Paulo, Brazil this Fall! During my exchange, I will be attending school, as well as learning about their culture and language. Ever since I was little I have always been fascinated with the world around me and their cultures. Furthermore, I plan to major in International Studies when I attend university. After, I intend to start my own international non-profit to specifically help women and children. I know for a fact that this exchange will give me the skills and allow my dream of helping women and children all over the world a reality.

I am in need of your support of making this unique experience occur. My goal is to raise $5,000 which includes all the expenses for the trip. 

I know this experience will help me broaden my perspective of the world, truly change me, and help me assist others in need. This has always been a life-long dream of mine and I cannot make it happen without your help.
