Old Motherlode lodge, Hatcher Pass

The Mat-Su area has recently lost an historic building. The Old Motherlode Lodge was undergoing renovation when plans were suddenly stopped by arson.
Due to its closure to the public, insurance on the building was pending until reopening.
We are soliciting help for clean-up and beautification costs of the space this historic, Hatcher Pass landmark once filled.
After initial clean-up, all funds will go toward phase one construction of new life in the pass. This includes public-use style cabins on the property and perhaps a coffee/info booth using renewable energy.
This project is a new beginning for the community to once again have a place to gather and utilize the beautiful surroundings that encompass this unique place.
