Hey there!
My name is Martin and the pretty girl is Mogli. We're traveling the world together!
How come?
Early '17, on the way back from a bike trip, a little kitten came crawling up my arm, looking for warmth and safety.
She was only 2 months old, in bad shape and the locals said that, since the mama died, she'd probably meet the same fate. But the little tiger had taken my heart by storm and instead of putting her back to die on the streets, I put her on the bike and, lucky for us, she got used to it in 20 min! I had a cat! But I also had a big motorbike trip coming up, from Rosenheim in Germany, following the hippie trail to Iran and then to Dubai.
And so I did the obvious, and we went together.
It was EPIC! And though we had our fair share of difficulties, in the end, all went well and after 3 months, 13.000km and 11 countries, we arrived in Dubai.
For 7 months, we stayed with my good friend, his wife and their cat, stocking up travel funds and ending up stealing a husband to go to Nepal with together. Unfortunately my friend had an accident in Pakistan and needed to return early and so Mogli and I pushed on to India, where I eventually had my minute of glory and fell in soft sand, good enough to keep me from riding for a few months.
So much had happened, I could write a book! And so I got us a little cottage in the Himalayas and started doing exactly that. In the meantime we've moved to Nepal and now, end of 2019, after 1 year of hard work, it's almost finished!
Our next goal is to go to south India and next year 2020, after the winter is over we'll hopefully start our return trip, through Kazakhstan and Russia back to Germany.
There are endless expected, and some more unexpected costs that such a journey brings and we couldn't have made it as far without the help of the many generous souls that have already supported us.
For that, I am deeply grateful, THANK YOU!
If you like our journey and want to support us too, or if you just want to buy Mogli a beer and me a can of tuna, please leave a donation!
You can follow our journey if you search for "motomogli" on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube . Or just head right over to motomogli.com ;-)
Cheers!
