Help Me Move to Denmark for Love and a Fresh Start

Hi, my name is Egypt Graham, and I’m reaching out for support during a challenging time in my life.

I currently live in the U.S., but due to ongoing workplace discrimination, my hours have been drastically reduced, making it increasingly difficult to cover my basic needs like housing and bills. My partner cannot afford to buy me a ticket to come over, as the ticket alone costs around $500 to $1,000.

On top of that, the political climate here has become harder to navigate under Trump’s presidency, especially for me as a Black woman who wears a head-covering. In the Midwest, I have faced harassment and even assault due to my identity, and I can no longer endure the emotional and physical toll of living in this environment.

I’ve made the difficult decision to leave the U.S. and move to Denmark, where I can be with my partner, who I love deeply, and start fresh. Not only does this mean a future with the person I care for, but it also represents an opportunity to escape the escalating hostility I face daily here.

However, my lease is ending in January, and I need the funds as soon as possible to secure housing and cover my relocation costs. Specifically, I need qt least $500 for my ticket and the rest will be for food, and basic bills as I transition into this new chapter of my life.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help me take this life-changing step toward a safer, more hopeful future.
