Hello everyone, I’m fundraising for a large body of work titled “Of Water and Wood”, a 3-Phase research project that explores our harmonious exchange and connection with the five elements in nature through interactions with nature, movement arts/ exercises, and natural therapeutic applications. The purpose of this project is to promote humanity and wellbeing by highlighting our deep connection with environment and our ability to heal, create, and share as a global community. It’s also important I note:
Every single component of this project is drug and substance free and is not affiliated with the use of mind altering substances. Of Water & Wood is a preventive natural Five Element Medicine awareness project. All rights reserved.
The first phase is a scientific research project and peer reviewed paper that outlines and defines the aspects of our human body that contribute to these exchanges in our environment and the importance of this in achieving homeostasis, wellbeing, and enhanced cognitive ability. The research paper suggests a pyramid-model approach for global Natural Preventive Medicine professionals and consumers.
The second phase of this project is a short film on years of interactions and observations in nature during different seasons. It aims to reveal the range and relativity of nature’s processes and is a creative and educational piece meant to express the beauty and importance of nature.
The third phase of this research project is the creation and development of a collection of artworks and interactions that aims to showcase the delicate and rough healing powers of nature, movement, and medicine in our everyday lives. This phase will showcase the works of various artists and practitioners and embrace a variety of cultures.
This project is aimed to honor and integrate the following:
Nature Reserves
Natural Sciences
Natural/ Traditional Medicine Arts
Traditional Martial Arts/ Movement Arts
Fine Arts, including Visual and Music Arts
The project also aims to bring awareness to the preservation of nature and the impact climate, weather, and other natural occurrences have on us as well.
My background:
I'm a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with over 14 years experience in the natural medicine field alongside practitioners from a variety of cultures. Teacher of Eastern philosophy with a background in the arts, currently an acupuncture physician experienced in treating for prevention and pain relief. I've dedicated independent research since 2013 with a special focus on the Five Elements and climate impact through direct experience and observational astronomy since 2018 as a contribution to global medicine. My goal is to contribute my skills towards efforts rooted in traditional humanitarian values that promote our connection with nature, physical activity, and creative expression.
Funds will be used for the purchase of necessary equipment, gear, materials, and other expenses related to the phases of this project including promotional merchandise, memberships, Natural Medicine conference participation fees, and travels.
