Sounds Against Silence Concert

Through tragedy, our community has come together to grieve, fight, and work in unison to express the urgent need for gun control and gun reform. Music has always been a glorious way to unite people in a harmonious manner and that is exactly what we will achieve with this benefit concert! A collective of Broward County students including current Douglas students and Douglas alumni's have created this GoFundMe to raise money for this concert. Once the money is collected, we will only use what we need to produce the concert, the remaining money will go to a non-profit organization at the East Boca Foundation (eastboca.org) which we recently created in order to assist with all types of charities but with a heavy focus on school safety. The money will then be directly donated to The Gifford’s Foundation, formed by Gabby Giffords and astronaut Mark Kelly. They have provided us with endless opportunities and their kindness and strength has touched our hearts. The non-profit will be managing the funds for the concert. As of now, we are aiming for a date in late August. We will continue to update you on concert details and organizations working with us. Thank you endlessly, as we are grateful for all of the love and support given to our hometown.
