KEEP OUR GYMNASTS IN THE VALLEY!
Mt. Si Gymnastics Academy is asking you to support our gymnasts and help us build a foam pit this summer!
WHY DO WE NEED A FOAM PIT?
Keep Our Gymnasts in the Valley. The hard truth is that if our gymnasts want to continue to be competitive and develop their skills, there will come a point in time where they would have to move to another gym. The last thing we want to see is gymnasts who have spent years training and competing together be separated and leave their local “home” gym.
Skill Development. A foam pit allows gymnasts to practice higher level skills with less impact on the gymnasts’ bodies. It functions as a dismount landing area and provides extra safety when learning new skills. They are useful for vault, tumbling, safe bar skill learning, bar release moves, bar dismounts and skills of the trampoline.
Our Little Gymnasts Will Love It Too. A foam pit can be the highlight of a gymnastics class for a younger gymnast. We have seen children play at other gyms’ foam pits, and when they get out it is all smiles. Their absolute favorite is climbing or swinging on a rope that is above the foam pit and then dropping in.
WHAT IS THE FUNDRAISING GOAL?
The owners of Mt. Si Gymnastics Academy have been able to save $25,000. The total cost to build the foam pit is $75,000, which leaves us a goal of $50,000. With the help and encouragement of our gymnasts’ parents, we are setting up this GoFundMe account as a way for friends and family to show their love and support for our local gym and their gymnasts.
The bottom line is that we need to find 500 people to donate $100 so we can dig this pit! Can you help us get there? Thank you for your support the past 4 years and for considering a personal contribution to bring fun to the lives of Snoqualmie Valley kids for years to come!
