Rogers Msoverlanderusa Adventure
Hello,
My name is Roger Titus. I am a Former USAF Soldier. Who served from 82 to 86. When I got out I became a Chef, Mechanic, Injection molding supervisor, Paper Maker and Entrepreneur . I've been married twice. Once as a young person and again in 96. Divorced in 2017.
In 2006 i woke up in February paralyzed from chest down, I was given a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. and then later one for Transverse myelitis I learned to walk again not so graceful but instead thankful and humbled. My younger brother Curtis was also diagnosed with MS at a younger age than me. His is worse than mine though.
I suffer from MST while in the military which i believe gave me many illnesses and other diagnoses such as Social Anxiety Chronic Depression which stems from PTSD. I decided to get out and travel the USA. I want to help other veterans who also suffer from my illness's to enjoy life again if even for a day or weekend outing. I have been lucky enough to help some others so far.
I am extremely thankful and grateful to those who have helped me get on the road and relocated to Portland Oregon. I did not plan to stay here. i wanted to use the PNW area for my hub of my travels. *&^%%# frakin. Darn it and Dangnabit if the Roger Rover Didn't Happen to hiccup when i got to Portland.
It was a blessing in disguise as i got to rekindle family ties and was offered a place to stay at my sister Carole and her husband Gary's house. I have lived here since I arrived here in 2017. Life has been good. The Roger Rover was chosen as peoples choice award for my class at the All British Field Meet at PIR for the years 2017 and 2018. i was to sick to get to the event on time in 2019..there is always a new year. i plan to show off both my Land Rovers this year. The car shows are good advertising and i get a lot of attention. Before i left California my Great friends at Economy signs printed out a bunch of stickers made for passing out at shows and events. They had my Website and gofundme info on them.
My MS/TM are in remission. My pain never stops but i must carry on and march forward with my mission to help others. I reluctantly started the gofundme campaign because at the time i only lived off of ssdi and did not have a rating with the VA.
For those who have donated, ifi am in your area as i travel. I will hit you up and help with housework to repay those who have donated at the beginning of my adventure. I Thank you all so much who have and to all who will help continue my mission. All proceeds donated have gone into purchasing Items such as a kayak, two Honda passport motorcycles and a lot of camping gear. as well as Ski and Surf gear too.
to bbe honest i did not realize i had to make updates to my gofundme page and it got closed for a while. i made a plea to the folks at gofundme and they reopened my account.
update April 2022.
I bought a house with help from the Va once I got my service rating. I live on the beach in Tier DelMar Oregon in Nov 2020. While surfing my beach in December, I stepped on something which infected my left foot. In April 2021 I lost my left leg below the knee. And in September I had a car crash and broke my spine at l5 right above tailbone. I got home the end of January. I’m getting better with my bionic leg and walking again. This has been a crazy life since February of 2006.
I cannot thank you all enough for your support your encouragement during this time and I hope to meet each and everyone of you who donate to my Adventure in life.
