Mt. Kenya Cancer Survivors Fund

My mum (Josephine Maina) is a cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in Sept 1987.  Having survived breast cancer, she dedicated herself to helping other cancer patients and survivors through fundraising and community outreach.  As she celebrates 30 years, cancer free, your donation today will make a difference in the life of a cancer patient!
The group of women survivors has grown, they have come together and formed Rware Cancer Support Group (RCSG). RCSG is a community based group, working among mostly poor women / men without medical health insurance to cater for chemo, prosthesis bras, nutritious food, etc.
Cancer deaths in Kenya are on the rise due to  poor early screening and detection, inadequate attention and follow up, and lack of finances to pay the bills. Your donation will help cancer patients in rural parts of Kenya find hope even when dealing with cancer. The funds will go towards helping foot medical bills for the cancer patients, mobilise resoures towards increased awareness in the community, paying for cancer screenings and assisting patients undergoing cancer therapy.
