Murdoch Travelling Veterinary Students
Donation protected
Hello! We are the Murdoch Travelling Vet Students (MTVS) from Murdoch University in Western Australia!
We have partnered up with multiple charity organisations (Worldwide Veterinary Services, Lilongwe Wildlife Trust, Bridging Lanka) this year and have organised trips for veterinary students to beautiful countries such as India, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malawi.
These organisations are on the frontline of animal welfare! From disaster emergency response and international veterinary training to community education programmes, they send teams, equipment and medications to help animals in need.
With the support of Worldwide Veterinary Services (WVS), we are able to provide students with the opportunity to participate in hands-on volunteer work in Ooty, India and Chiang Mai, Thailand. Students will gain important surgical experience and will assist in neutering the local street dog population.
Furthermore, Lilongwe Wildlife Trust has joined us this year to offer students the chance to work with African wildlife alongside expert veterinarians. Those going on this trip will work together with Malawian vet students and will aid at a wildlife clinic.
Lastly, due to the success rate of the trip to Sri Lanka last year, we decided to continue with it this year. With Bridging Lanka’s guidance, our members will be able to work at a donkey clinic and will benefit from hands-on experiences such as, wound treatment and perinatal care.
To continue the amazing work carried out by these organisations, they rely on fundraising and donations. This year MTVS is hoping to supply them with much needed surgical equipment to carry out various treatment procedures. At the same time, we hope that we can count on your support to make a donation which in turn will help uphold the health of these animals. All proceeds will go towards these organisations and will not be used to fund our students on their trips.
Thank you!
