My friend Steve needs your help!

I would like to introduce you to my dear friend, Steve…and his little companion Cherri, who shares his little home and big heart.
First off, Steve is NOT the type of guy who shares his troubles, lightly. He has to really be hurting badly, emotionally, physically and spiritually, to let me come forward and ask for help on his behalf. He has finally reached the end of his rope and he NEEDS YOUR HELP.

Steve’s story is one of ups and downs. He moved to Colorado after losing his job in Vegas…and got a job and bought a house. After 15 years and some downsizing, he lost his job and tried to find another. He lived off of his savings, 401k, and credit cards. Now, due to many physical setbacks and still no job, 7 1/2 years later he is virtually homeless.

He has struggled through many health issues during that time and signed up for disability. Like many, he has been denied, , so he has contacted an attorney to help with his case. In the meantime, he and Cherri suffer the COLD winters in Colorado, living in a very, very small travel trailer. Emphysema, diabetes, edema, neuropathy, HBP, arthritis, memory loss, thoracic aortic aneurysm, skin cancer, the inability to stand walk or sit for lengthy periods…these were the things that brought him to finally admit to friends that he really does need HELP.

To give you an idea of the time frame of all of this...he lost his last home in May of 2017 and moved into the tiny trailer, then in 2018, all of these happened:
Cancer surgery on his Head: January
Cancer surgery on his Back: March
Cancer surgery on his Belly: April
Surgery on Both Hands: December
He also must walk with a cane because his balance is so bad. He has a handicap parking sticker because of the edema and neuropathy and arthritis in his legs and feet. He cannot walk long distances.  The  next photo shows the Edema in his legs, the blood clot in his leg and the purple feet from edema and standing only a few minutes:

We are hoping that the GoFundMe will bring in enough for him to get an Inogen One G4 oxygen machine….because of the very limited space in his tiny little trailer, he has no room for a bigger unit. Not only is there not enough space for the giant o2 machine but no power either. It will only work if plugged into AC and does not run on DC power. He cannot always get AC depending on where he has to move the trailer, because he cannot keep it parked in the same place all of the time.

What I am hoping and praying will happen for my dear friend Steve and his adorable Cherri…is for them to be able to move into a SMALL apartment with the things that everyone takes for granted….heat…hot running water…enough room to cook and tend to his and Cherri’s needs. He doesn’t need anything big or fancy…but the TINY trailer they are living in now is NOT something geared for living a COLD Colorado winter in and boiling hot in the summer!! It is pretty much not more than a ‘camper’ that people go camping in, during NICE weather…and ROUGH IT!  There is not much insulation to keep the weather at bay and he suffers from the cold in the winter and the heat in the summer.  So…something small and comfy for the two of them. PLEASE help me get this for them!

I thank every one of you for whatever you can send Steve and Cherri’s way. They are SOOOOO deserving of being able to have life’s LITTLE COMFORTS again. My heart breaks for what they have been going through lately!
