Muscular Dystrophy Canada Fund

Muscular dystrophy is a hereditary condition marked by progressive weakening and wasting of the muscles. What people don't know is that all of our internal organs are also muscles. This disease gets worse as time goes on and can shut down our bodies. 

      My Uncle Mike has been living with this disease for 58 years. Which is alot longer than most life expectancies for people who have muscular dystrophy. It was not easy for him to experience what he went through as he lost control of the use of his muscles. Even though it was hard for him, he still lived life to the fullest while not letting anything get in his way. Unfortunately lately he has been in the hospital for a month on a ventilation machine and has decided not to accept anymore treatment. 

     My uncle Mike is a huge insperation to the family and we believe he is one of the strongest men in our lives for the decisions he has had to make. Unfortunately he had to live his life without a cure but hopefully one day we can find a cure for muscular dystrophy.
