We would love for you to join us today in helping to support the North American Indian Center of Boston in a fundraiser.
NAICOB is in Jamaica Plain and dates back almost 50 years as a resource for Native Americans in the Boston area.
NAICOB is one of the only Urban Resource buildings in Massachusetts for Native Americans.
Our funding is very small and the building has fallen into disrepair over the last decade. This fundraiser is targeted at helping with building cleanup and repair so that we are able to host more programming.
The North American Indian Center of Boston (NAICOB) has provided cultural, social, educational, and professional related services to the Native American* community for over 45 years. As one of the only urban Indian center in Massachusetts, our mission is to empower the Native American community with the goal of improving the quality of life of Indigenous peoples.
NAICOB was originally established in 1969 as the Boston Indian Council when it served as the hub of social and civil rights activities for the American Indian community in Boston. The center was later organized as the North American Indian Center of Boston, a non-profit organization, in 1991. Since then, the center has served our community as a place for community, health services, wellness groups, job training, children’s and elders programming, and much more.
Donations will be going towards cleanup for our building in preparation of our May 6th Fundraising Gala,
Additionally donations will go into funding for a new roof and structural/physical work that needs to be done on our building.
People who want to directly drop off cleaning supplies or volunteer to come help clean are welcome to contact us!
We had an original goal of $3000.00 that we have successfully achieved. We increased the new goal to $5000.00 which will allow us to do more renovations. We are excited about the support we are getting.
We need a new roof, windows, electrical work done etc.
