Nancy Robertson

Nancy is a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. After battling a cough for several months, Nancy went to urgent care for a chest x-ray which found a mass pushing against her bronchial tube. Several tests and doctors visits later, she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Non Small Cell Lung Cancer that has spread to her bones and liver. Starting on July 2nd, Nancy will begin receiving chemo every Monday and radiation treatments daily. This is a difficult cancer to treat and the doctors are recommending an aggressive treatment plan. Nancy's cancer is incurable and will probably require chemo treatments for the rest of her life. 

Only a few weeks before her diagnosis, Nancy's employer was purchased by another company. They quickly moved the business to Tennessee and laid off everyone in the NY office. Not only is Nancy battling this horrific disease, but she is struggling to find work as well. Especially one willing to be flexible for her treatments. 

We're expecting a long and difficult road, but Nancy is lucky to have an incredible support system around her. We're grateful to the doctors and nurses at South Nassau Hospital for taking such good care of her. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. The money raised will go to medical and related expenses so Nancy may have the best possible treatment and so she can be comfortable.
