Marital Bliss: Dishwasher

Getting married is a time to reflect with friends and family on the nature of love and relationships. While there's a rich diversity of ways people make it work, the single shining thread of insight weaving its way through the fabric of all of the happy marriages we have encountered (realizing the truth of Tolstoy's insight about happy families) is the urgency of having someone or something to wash the damn dishes for you. To secure our marital bliss, we humbly ask for your kindness and generosity to start us off on the right foot (until there are children old enough to reach the sink, of course). Thanks very much.

To be clear, what we're specifically asking  for is money to pay for the purchase of a dishwasher in our house, as well as the funds the install it (unfortunately the house did not come with a dishwasher or the hookups to easily put one in).
