About Me
In May of 2016, I graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering. You might be wondering why I have chosen to pursue tennis professionally instead of finding a full time job as an engineer. The answer is simple. I have spent the better part of my life training and competing, and my college career showed me that my progress towards my full potential would not end with graduation.
The hallmark of my SMU coaches’ approach was the philosophy of being process-based. Embracing this concept allowed me to focus on constant improvement rather than immediate results. It paid off as I worked my way from a red shirt my freshman year to a top spot on the lineup my senior year. Now playing at the professional level, I continue to be process-based. I am confident that if I keep working, improving, and learning, the results will follow.
