Support the family of Nathan Proto
Donation protected
On Saturday, October 15, 2016 we tragically lost one of our dearest friends and brothers, Nathan Proto. He was 36 years old. Three people were shot in his home and two of them lost their lives. The third person is in critical condition but is expected to make it through. As of now, no arrests have been made and there is an ongoing investigation.
This has been unimaginable. It has devastated everyone in the community and his family is heartbroken. Any donations made will go directly to his fiancée Rachel for services and any unforeseen costs that may come up.
Nathan was one of the most kind and generous people that most of us have ever known. He and Rachel were always there to lend a helping hand. If there was a friend that didn't have somewhere to stay, they opened their door. If there was somebody who's car broke down they would eagerly lend them one of thiers. This is how he was. This is how Rachel is.
I've known Nathan for the better part of two decades and I have watched him over and over again help people around him throughout the years. He was generous and kind and loving and compassionate and fun and silly and amazing. He made people feel good and he loved his friends and family.
There was nobody in this world that Nathan loved more than Rachel. They would've celebrated their 14th anniversary together this coming January and after all of these years together, they finally decided to get married. They had started planning out the details of their wedding which they were aiming to have happen in the next year.
This is our time to come together and to give back. The last thing that Nathan would have ever wanted is for his beloved to have to worry about finances in this time of grieving. Not only has Rachel lost her soulmate, her best friend and her lover, she has also lost her home. There are so many things that need to happen in order for Rachel and Nate's family to move through this tragedy. Let's do everything that we can to help bring some financial ease to the situation.
No donation is too big or too small. Everything helps.
Thank you.
