Terry Murphy-more time with family
Donation protected
Terry Murphy has been fighting terminal liver and bile duct cancer since April 22, 2013. He is extremely tired and no longer able to work or do traditional cancer treatments. He is fighting to stay alive! Terry just turned 41 on March 2nd.
Terry has a beautiful 20 month baby girl, wife, family and many friends who love and treasure him. Terry is intelligent, funny, warm and caring. He is a really terrific person. This world needs more of him - we need him. He has every reason in the world to beat this ugly disease and we are all praying for a miracle. Our family and friends have already lost a loved one, we really can’t do it again. We need your help.
Chemo and radiation are no longer options. Traditional treatments have been too hard on his liver and have broken down his body. The average survival rate is six months - Terry has lasted over 22 months because of alternative treatments that are not covered by Alberta Health or medical insurance. The family has exhausted all available funds doing these treatments and need your help to continue.
The main tumor has grown a bit and unfortunately it is now pushing on the bile duct. Terry had one operation for a liver stint in late November but it wasn't successful and we almost lost him! He had another surgery to repair the stint on Dec 30th and this time it worked, but his liver needs time to heal.
Some of the alternative treatments available are Vitamin C IVs which is cytotoxic to cancer cells and improves the quality of life; Licorice Root IVs which helps the liver recovery; and localised or full body hyperthermia where intense heat is induced to shrink tumours with minimal impact on normal healthy tissue. It damages or kills cancer cells, or makes cancer cells more susceptible to the effects of radiation and chemotherapy. The cost for the full treatment plan is around $5,000 a month.
Please help us win this fight.
