Support to Ukrainian refugees arriving in Poland - A message from Greenpoint Neighbors
We are a group of neighbors living in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We know that so many of us are looking for a way to help in this critical time. One way to do something is to join with your neighbors by contributing financially – even if you live outside of Greenpoint!
Greenpoint is home to the largest Polish community in America. Our history is rich with the contributions of generations of Polish refugees and immigrants who built a thriving community that welcomes people from all over the world. We have the means to help the people of Ukraine.
We are all neighbors on this planet. Now is the time to show our solidarity with cash. As Ukrainian people flee with their lives – they need immediate support once they cross the border.
Your contributions are secure thanks to the financial stewardship provided by the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union, based in Greenpoint, with branches across the United States. All donations will reach people in need directly through Caritas, the largest charity organization in Poland. Since Russia attacked on February 24, Caritas has been working tirelessly to provide urgent humanitarian aid to the hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing from the war in Ukraine. It's a team effort of solidarity uniting NGOs, local and national governments, and individuals of goodwill to help people fleeing from the conflict in Ukraine.
Every dollar counts. Thank you for your contribution.
