Nepal Street Dog Rescue Campaign
My name is Maya Kadel, I am 16 years old and Nepali/American. This summer, I am traveling to Nepal for the 3rd time. The past two times I have traveled, the street dog epidemic was no secret. I was stunned at how many injured homeless dogs ran around. There are more than 20,000 homeless street dogs in Kathmandu itself...They had no home, no person to love them, and barely any food. I was heartbroken when I saw a mom dog trying to feed her puppies chewed up sandals, it made me realize that these beautiful animals need help. Many of them suffer from horrible diseases and abuse. I have always had such an immense passion for dogs ever since I was a little girl. My goal is to raise $600 and donate supplies to the Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre when I visit Nepal this summer (Link to their website: KAT Centre ). They have done wonderful work and treated thousands of dogs, which is truly remarkable. I am so passionate about animals and it would be so amazing if these dogs had the opprotunity for a second chance at life. Any donation big or small going towards these poor animals would be greatley appreciated.
