Marcie's medical expenses

Tax deductible
One of the foster moms with Purrs And Whiskers Shelter was contacted for this kitten. It had 2 siblings who were "normal" and our foster mom is the only one locally who was known to take special needs kittens.

Our foster mom agreed to take the kitten, and was sure it had CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia). We made an appointment with a specialist (homoepathic vet) to be sure and to do the best we could for little Marcie.

At this point Marcie is half grown, yet we are still able to treat her with supplements that will encourage cerebellar nerve growth and development. Yayy!

But first, we had to get Marcie her vaccines. She hadn't had any, and we had to use a Purevax so there would be less side effects (vaccines affect the central nervous system and Marcie's system was already limited).

So, at our vet visit we opted for a combination vaccine for Rabies and Distemper, this way only one vaccine had to be given. We all agreed the best course of action is to give the vaccine first then after 2 weeks, we will pursue remedies for her CH.

Needless to say, the specialist visit, Purevax, and supplements were much more expensive than our regular vet visits, so we are kicking off this fundraiser for Marcie.   She still has to be spayed so we will be doing that after we start her homeopathy for the CH. Luckily she is not in heat at this point in the year.

Thanks in advance, and please share Marcie's story!
