24 Hours To Make A Difference

UPDATE - STILL ACCEPTING DONATIONS
Hi friends and family! Over the next 24 hours (the cutoff for donations being MIDNIGHT EST DECEMBER 5TH ) please join me in donating to an amazing cause. During my time in Tanzania, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside of one of the most amazing individuals I’ve yet to meet. Juma Judson, the director and creator of the incredible school for impoverished children that I have been fortunate enough to volunteer at for the past 3 months, has recently built an addition to his small home in Arusha where he will be able to properly house the 15 orphans that he has taken in over the past few years. With all of his money going toward cement, windows, and the cost of construction, there are limited funds going toward the interior necessities for the children. These include beds, mattresses, blankets, pillows, 2 large tables, 15 chairs, plates, utensils, cubbies, dressers and virtually everything else that you can think of that should be in a child’s room. Even funding for meals is frighteningly low. I’ve added up all of the costs, and in total, Juma and the children that he has taken in need roughly $5000 USD to get everything that each child needs. While I understand that this is a high goal for 24 hours, I also understand, as I’ve learned during my time here, every dollar goes a long long way. Even a $10 donation can buy one child’s food for a week, it can buy 3 children new shoes, 5 children each a set of their own utensils. $200 can buy one bunk bed for two children. It can buy blankets and pillows for 3 children. While I may not be able to fulfill the list of all of their necessities, I would love to help Juma lighten the load of the costs. Whatever you decide to give in the next 24 hours will be so incredibly appreciated and each dollar you can spare will go towards making a difference in the lives of these 15 children’s lives. Again, the cutoff for donations is midnight EST December 5th! Thank you everyone!!!! Lots of love from Tanzania!
