New Hosh Studio Lease

Tax deductible
Since 2009 Hosh Yoga out of pure heart and passion from a few park classes, to a gym basement, and finally to our current yoga studio location you get to bear witness everyday how fellow dreamers and idealists assure that Hosh delivers yoga and wellness classes for you and thousands more through out New York. Every year, over 11,000 students visit our studio and since 2013 over 10,000 children in local schools have received Hosh programming.

But we have a challenge today that will require your support and patience the next 60 days.
Our yoga studio lease expired in the past months and our new lease offer is MORE THAN DOUBLE our current rent of $2,500. We can't afford nor sustain a studio program under these conditions that has offered thousands and more importantly you as members and students a cost-effective alternative to wellness as a right of life regardles of skill and income.

We need $8,500 in donations in the next 15 days to move to a new space just ten minutes away from our current location with our desired rent of $3,000 per month so we can secure this loved community yoga studio program for 5 years. The new corner location is two blocks away from McGolrick Park @ 187 Norman Ave. There are 145 paid sustaining members today, if every member and hundreds of our loyal students are able to donate at least $60 we will continue this studio program that we know so many of you care about!

If we're unable to reach our funding goal we will have to unfortunately close and we will return all donations in such case. But we believe that all of us can make a difference for the community you want to see in your daily life.  There is enough soul and good-heart in Hosh to give it up! The plan below is the participatory sharing economy in which together we make a difference for you, people, and community!

Hosh Namaste Plan

A. Commercial space selected a 10-minute walk from current Hosh near McGolrick Park on Jewel and Norman available for immediate occupancy but we will need at least the first two weeks in September as a transition period (187 Norman Ave).

B. Back to our roots: there will be a daily morning or evening class offered at McCarren Park during September as we prepare the new space.

C. We open again by mid-September! Rates will have to be adjusted starting at the new studio to $65 for all members and $16 drop-in class starting October 1st. We will preserve a daily community classes at $10.

We've seen the ways this simple idea of Hosh continues to do good work everywhere it reaches. So let's stay dreamers and idealist for this mission and not let the New York market kill programs like ours!
