New Windows for CHS

Tax deductible
GIVE THE GIFT OF HISTORY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

The Canton Maine Historical Society (CHS) recently rescued an historic grange building from demolition. We have made headway on creating Canton’s only year-round community meeting space, as well as a secure home for the Historical Society’s Museum and Archives.

Completed:

The building has been moved onto the Canton Historical Society’s property and placed on a new foundation.
- Structural improvements
- New wiring has been installed.
- The building has been completely insulated.

- New lighting fixtures have been installed in the grand hall.
- The roof had been recently replaced by previous owners.

What’s next?

WINDOW REPLACEMENT
In order to make the building usable for year-round activities, the 21 windows need to be replaced with energy efficient windows. These windows will be in the same style as the existing ones, but will have a huge impact on the energy costs for the society, not to mention the comfort of our event guests!

Here’s how you can help:

Donate ANY amount toward a new window, and we will add your name to the thank you list on our website. You may donate in memory of a loved one or in your own name.

THANK YOU!
