Teeth are More Important Than Ever Now that Josiah has Turned 40!
We know that you have likely already seen Josiah’s story — and we are grateful for every response of prayer and giving. If you are still able to give or share, we have just a limited time left to gather needed funds.
It's still true that this is vitally important to Jo's ability to eat a normal meal, speak clearly, and sing the songs that are his life’s calling. Your help makes more difference than you imagine.
This is not a sales appeal, this is my precious son’s actual day to day life. He is 40 now, and many of you know me personally… you know I have been praying for this answer for him for years. And I am committing literally all I have to him as well.
With the treatment available through The Smile Mission, Josiah can reclaim his health, confidence, and voice. If you haven’t seen Jo’s story here it is ….

Josiah’s Story
At 19, Josiah joined the U.S. Air Force. He trained at Lackland AFB, then studied Electronic Principles and Computer Networks at Keesler AFB, where he graduated with a 100% average and earned the base’s Commander’s Award.
But even then, Josiah was fighting a hidden battle. He was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, which he fought for 10 long years. In August 2015, surgery removed 22 inches of his large intestine. The procedure saved his life, but the years of illness and medications left his teeth badly damaged.

A Heartbreaking Setback
In December, Josiah chose to have his remaining teeth removed, hoping dentures would restore his ability to eat, speak, and sing.
But after six months of appointments, the dentures he received did not fit at all — slipping, gagging, and impossible to wear. For the last five months, Josiah has been completely without teeth. Eating is limited to soft foods and liquids. He’s losing weight, and his confidence.
Most heartbreaking: Josiah is a professional singer, songwriter, and worship leader. Singing is his calling, but without teeth, he cannot record or perform.

A Door Opens
Most dentists quoted over $45,000 — far out of reach.
But this month, The Smile Mission in Lakeland, FL offered to restore his smile with permanent dentures for $23,000. This is Josiah’s only realistic path to eating, speaking, and singing again.
Our fundraising goal is $23,000 to complete his treatment.

A Birthday Gift of Hope
On his 40th birthday, Josiah isn’t asking for gifts. He’s asking for a chance to smile, eat, and sing again.
Please make today the day you donate and share his story. Together, we can give Josiah the best birthday gift possible: the restoration of his smile, his health, and his clear voice.
