Ngukurr Netball Team

We are a netball team for girls aged 9-12 at a school by the name of Ngukurr, in South East Arnhem Land, 7 hours from Darwin.
The kids in the community of Ngukurr often have very little to do in the hours after school and become very bored. It is a place where funding is forever being cut, and programs are constantly being taken away from the kids.
We introduced Netball to the community at the beginning of 2016. The girls love Netball, they are so keen to play and challenge themselves that they ask everyday “have we got Netball training today?” It is so great to see them excited and looking forward to something.
We would love to raise money to keep the netball running for years to come but to also keep the girls engaged, be able to purchase equipment and uniforms. We would also love to be able to take the girls on a trip to Melbourne to open their eyes to the bigger world of netball. This would be such an amazing experience for them.
