Nicci Sylvester #NicciSTRONG

Nicci Sylvester is a pillar in the Rochester, Minnesota community. 

You have most likely seen her vibrant self at any number of successful restaurants and events in Rochester (Rochester Golf and Country Club, Chesters, pescara, Thursdays on First, Rochester Fest, the Farmer's Market, Pride Fest, any number of festivals, social justice causes, fundraisers, and her own brain child, TONIC Local Kitchen and Juice Bar, across from St.Mary's Hospital.) 

Nicci is a selfless, tireless servant to others, always full of energy, positivity, passion and love.  Nicci has always been passionate about helping the community (Girl Scouts, Ability Building Center, her church (First Unitarian Universalist)  and those who could not advocate for themselves, and has always stepped up to organize an event, lead a group, cater a gathering, host a party, teaching a cooking class,  or anything else anyone asked of her.  Saying "NO" has never been in her vocabulary.

Nicci received experimental immuno-therapy treatments to combat malignant melanoma over the last year at Mayo Clinic.  She was completely clear of cancer two months ago, but last Monday she felt ill, but pushed through, but was taken down on Friday, jaundiced and in unmanageable pain.  Her dear love, Tim, took her to St Mary's ER, where she was admitted to and by Saturday evening she was in liver failure and on life support. 
Nicci has been unresponsive since this time, and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Mary's on dialysis to help clear the toxins from her body, caused by the failing liver.  The doctors are working hard to figure out why this has happened, and her family and friends are holding vigil by her side.  

Nicci is always the one stepping up to help others, and so many of you  have reached out to offer help and support.  Nicci's has had some challenges with her insurance, and new coverage does not begin for her until January 1st, 2019.  At this time, she is not covered by any insurance, and in just 5 days time, we cannot even IMAGINE the cost of her care. 
Please consider helping in this way if possible, to help support the dearest people in Nicci's life, her precious children Wyatt(17) and Savana (15), in this difficult time without their mother .  The entire family appreciates all love, support, prayers, strength and well wishes. #NicciSTRONG
