NICU staff and families Glasgow
Donation protected
I was blessed to be pregnant with identical twin boys but, sadly, at 20 weeks my beautiful baby Owen Francis passed away as a result of Twin to Twin syndrome - despite everything the doctors of fetal medicine did (and they went above and beyond to try and save both of my miracle babies). At 24 weeks pregnant I lost my waters and became an inpatient of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow. The battle began again to save my second beautiful boy Nathan. Somehow he managed to hold on until 31 weeks gestation and my gorgeous little man came into the world on 20th March 2017. He is now an inpatient of the NICU. He is doing well but will still need a lot of help. I plan to do lots of fundraising in the future but it has come to my attention that something needs to be done to raise funds now to support this wonderful department and all they do for families like ours. A new project has been rolled out this week involving a video link from the hospital. In my case, this means I can see Nathan and how he is progressing even when I can't physically be there with him. It has been so comforting and has helped me, his father Danny and his big sister Sarah so very much. We NEED to raise as much as possible to purchase as many ipads and tablets as possible so more parents and siblings can benefit from this service. Please, please help in any way you can...even £1 can help. Please share this widely and spread the word. Thanks very much in advance xoxox
