A small excerpt from Taylor and Thorpie’s wedding night – “the full moon is a symbolic feature in Thorpie and Taylor’s relationship. After a chance meeting on a beach in the Whitsunday Islands of Australia their first night together was spent on a tropical island nestled beneath a tree on a full moon night in July (2016). Since this fairytale beginning, their life together has been what they regard as a dream come true. Their deep connection to one another, their shared adventures and travels have helped to galvanize a loving bond that they hope to share for a lifetime”. Although Thorpie and Taylor only had one year together, they both found a soulmate in each other and unconditionally loved one another with no doubts or reservations. Taylor often expressed her overwhelming love and satisfaction for her new husband and her perfect life.

As most of us are now aware, there was a terrible accident on Sunday, July 16th.  Taylor and Thorpie were driving back to Ashland on the I-5, when one of the tires of their van popped, sending the van off the road into multiple rolls, landing on it’s top. That day, we lost one of the most precious women that many of us have ever known. Thorpie was ejected from the van and suffered many serious injuries. Thorpie has undergone three separate surgeries and our fingers are crossed there will not be anymore. With that being said, he has a very long road to recovery both physically and emotionally. Thorpie has recently been moved from the ICU to the Surgical Floor and is showing wonderful progress each day.

Thorpie has a separate gofundme for his recovery and we created this page in order to try and support the Nieri family in anyway possible. The donations raised here will go directly to Taylor’s celebration of life, with travel expenses the family has endured, and with loss of income Taylor’s family members have experienced due to the tragedy. We are beyond grateful for the outpour of love and support expressed by all of Taylor and Thorp’s friends.
