Nigerian House in Minnessota

The Nigerian community in Minnesota under their umbrella organization, Minnesota Institute for Nigerian Development (MIND), is imploring you to assist in building a Nigerian house in Minnesota, which will be like a home away from home for all Nigerians, their descendants in the Diaspora, and also any friends of Nigerians.

MIND believes that a befitting center or house to cater for the social and community needs of its people is overdue. The center will house a library and center for preserving our culture, cultural artifacts,  an adult daycare center for our senior citizens who are increasingly isolated, and a language and culture school for our children and youth.  In addition, this center will also serve as our major gathering place for celebrations and ceremonies such as traditional and western weddings, other necessary celebrations that are deemed appropriate and beneficial.  It is not gainsaying to state that Nigerians are famous for their celebrations, and as options for such activities are dwindling, it is time to come together and make this a reality for the sake of posterity!
