Rise up is having a national Walk to End Violence. They are walking to create awareness about abuse, the cycle of abuse, symptoms of abuse and where to turn to leave an abusive situation.
They are leaving St. John's NL on April 1st and walking to Victoria BC. The walkers planning to walk the 7300 km walk in 5 months.
Money raised will go to support the walkers, pay for gas, food and shoes if needed. Any Money raised above what is needed will be donated to shelters along the way.
