ReWalk with me....

Hi, my name is Hank McDowell and I need your help.
I am trying to raise $85,00.00 to purchase a ReWalk robotic exoskeleton. It is a bionic walking assistance system.
I have secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and must use a wheelchair for mobility.
I work out 3 days a week at Memorial Fitness Center in Hollywood, Fl. As their Rehabilitation facility is located in the same building, I was invited to be evaluated for the ReWalk and became the first patient in their program.
On February 4th I had my first session and took my first steps. It is difficult to express how exhilarating and uplifting I felt.
When living with any illness and/or disability, everyday you pray for some advance in medicine or the equipment you need to function. I remember how heavy and uncomfortable my first wheelchair was as compared to the chair I have today. What a difference it made in my quality of life.
And this is what the ReWalk is and more for me. It will change my life. Physically and mentally. I will be able to stand tall and look you in the eye. It will promote strength and tone in my leg muscles. It will strengthen my core. By standing and walking, it will promote better health all around.
My dream is that once my leg muscles are firing and trying to connect with my brain, my body will find new pathways of communication from the ones destroyed by MS. I want to walk on my own. We all need dreams and goals. I know I do, just to make it to tomorrow.
The advantages are many. The disadvantage is the cost.
I have good insurance, AvMed, and approached my Case Manager about purchasing one for me but was denied.
I am on a fixed income, collecting social security disability so an expense of this magnitude is not possible without your help.
Thank you for reading my story and if you are able to contribute, god bless.
If not, have a blessed day.
Hank
