Furneral Expenses N'Khemya King
Donation protected
On Sat, March 11th, N’Kheyma complained of a stomach ache, accompanied by a fever. She visited the ER on that Monday and was diagnosed with strep throat and prescribed an antibiotic shot. They were told to monitor her over the next 24-48 hours. N’Kheyma’s mother trusted this diagnosis and proceeded accordingly.
Just hours later, N’Kheyma was moaning loudly due to increased stomach pain, so we called for emergency assistance. Within minutes of arrival at the hospital, N’Kheyma was intubated and we were told that she had an elevated white blood cell count and was diagnosed with leukemia...our first time ever hearing this. The doctor's explained that she had swelling in the brain and required life-saving brain surgery. We agreed, fully expecting N’Kheyma to be okay afterwards.
N’Kheyma survived the surgery and was given a 60% chance of survival, but we knew God was in control. N’Kheyma started chemotherapy on Sunday - same day as her brain surgery - and showed marginal signs of improving, but N’Kheyma wouldn’t wake up.
On Wednesday, March 15th, God called N’Kheyma home. After only a brief 3-day cancer struggle, N’Kheyma succumbed to Leukemia and this world is left without its brightest and most adorable angel.
God protected N’Kheyma throughout this journey and beyond the stomach ache, she never suffered. As we are grieving, we’re also faced with the expense of the final arrangements, as there was no insurance. We’re not asking for monsoons of financial support because even droplets of water can cause a flood. Every cent adds up and ALL funds will help send a beautiful baby girl home to the Lord.
We thank you in advance and may God bless you and yours.
