Hi I'm Shelly, I am a 42 year-old wife and mother. I am a strong advocate for the fight against cancer and even helped to bring a young women's breast cancer support group Beyond Boobs! to my state that I am an active facilitator of.
Sadly, as many of you know, this is my third time fighting cancer. I have just finished my induction chemotherapy and need lots of prayers for remission and to stay healthy while my immune system is compromised.
What many of you do not know is that after the Acute Myeloid Leukemia and bone marrow transplant in 2012 I was not able to resume working full-time and have fought against graft vs host, heart failure, and chronic pain.
I am hoping to raise funds to help pay for our extended stay 180 miles away from home which includes daycare and maintaining an apartment, travel expenses, and medical bills. We still do not yet know the length of my treatment or how long I will be at Shands in Gainesville.
