Dutch Pot aka Noel McKoy-New Album
I'm Noel McKoy. Some of you will know me from my time with the James Taylor Quartet, and some will remember me from my group 'McKoy' and our hit album "Family".
Throughout my career – spanning over 40 years, I’ve been blessed to have worked with some of the best in the music business.
I'm currently working on my album "Dutch Pot – Hard Food" - with its socially conscious lyrics, reflecting the current troubled times – sung, written, arranged, and produced by yours truly, with a few Featured Guest Artists. This has been a labour of love because reggae is my musical spiritual home. One of the tracks which is really special to me is called “Are You A Slave?” as I felt compelled to spread more light on the atrocious acts of slavery, rape and violence happening, more than ever across the world and I’m hoping to release it as a single.
I've financed the album myself so far, but as an Independent Artist, it has been difficult. As the old saying goes ‘One Hand Can’t Clap’ so I’m reaching out to you – as I need your help to launch and release it on vinyl. I’m hoping to release it in the summer.
In order to do this, I need to raise £3,000.00 by 30th April 2018 and the money will be used for:
- Artwork = £1,500.00
- Plates and Pressing = £1,500.00.
I’ve set out some ‘rewards’ that I can give you in exchange for your money – from a signed copy of the album to me performing an exclusive set for you. Have a look and see which reward is best for you.
Thank you for your interest and support and I look forward to sharing this album with you.
Blessed Love and Peace,
Noel McKoy
