On June 14-16, 2019, the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation will celebrate its 29th Outdoor National Championships – known as the New Balance Nationals Outdoor (NBNO) since 2010 – at its current home at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C. since 2005. The North Brunswick High School’s Track and Field Team will embark on their journey to their “Second Ever Appearance” in the NBNO Track and Field Championships.
It starts here as this year we are looking to qualify the relay teams and Individuals for their event.
Recap: Last year at our 1st appearance the Girl’s 4x200 Relay finished 12th is the Emerging Elite category comprised of Alyssa Godbey, Angel Johnson, Courtney Lines, and Keyana Yeoman. Courtney Lines finished 11th overall in the Girl’s Long Jump Emerging Elite Division. Jieem Bullock finished 5th overall in the Boy’s Long Jump Emerging Elite Division.
The list of those athletes and their qualifying events for this year are listed below.
NBNO Team:
Girls - Johnson, Angel, Lines, Courtney, Sanders, Brianna, Shaw, Malayka and Yeoman, Keyana
Boys - Bullock, Jieem, Clarke, Kwesi, Dixie, Rashad, Mcnair, Gavin and Roberts, Arlyne
NBNO Events:
Girls Championship: 4x100m Relay, 4x200m Relay, and 100mH
Girls EE: Long Jump and 400mH
Boys Championship: Long Jump and High Jump
Boys EE: 800m SMR
Although this is the 29th NBNO, it is our second consecutive appearance as a team. We understand that this will come at a substantial cost as we travel from Leland N.C. to Greensboro, N.C. for this three-day event including travel, hotel, meals, and other meet expenses. Our team would appreciate any financial assistance you could provide us in order to help offset our expenses as we endeavor to represent our High School, our Community at Large, Families and ourselves in the winning tradition of the “Scorpions” on a National Level.
