WSHS Robotics VEX Bus Campaign

Woodbridge Senior High School Robotics is an after school, extra-curricular activity that allows students to explore thier innovative design side by building robots.  This year's team consists of 51 students ranging from 9th to 12th grades and from a diverse backgrounds were orgainized into 8 squads building 8 robots.  The  students competed all  winter/fall with the goal of getting to the Virginia VEX Robotics State Championship.  From there, they try to win one of 10 spots to the World VEX Robotics Tournament to held this year in Louisville, KY on April 15th.  The tournament will feature 500 of the best robotics teams from all over the world.

WSHS has worked hard all season and done the amazing: qualified 4 teams to play for the world title.  Now, the challenge for a team of our size is being able to go.  Smaller 1 robot teams can easily get around in their own vehicle.  When you have 34 students, 4 robots, 3 chaperones, and support equipment, we need help.  To be able to keep together as a team, we need a bus.  We are fortunate to be close enough in Northern Virginia that we can drive to the tournament this year.  We just need help raising the $10000 for a charter bus for 5 days.  School buses aren't allowed to leave our county and wouldn't be able to get there in a reasonable time from.

Any help that you can provide will help reduce the cost of the bus and the amount each student going will have to pay for their seat.  Thank you for your attention and support.
