Dream to be College Bound

Donation protected
At 13 years of age Kieran has been offered scholarship funds to attend a Baseball Academy in Florida for grade 10 this year. We are Canadian and Kieran’s 3 other brothers are all born in the USA and Kieran was born in Australia. Even with both a Baseball and an Academic scholarship awarded, the balance of the fees and additional funds required are huge as  he will need to pay for out of state expences and  accommodation while in Florida.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that we believe God has presented us with and won’t come around again; please help us with a donation and invite your friends & colleagues to help raise funds to make his dream a reality!!! Please support Kieran and also pass  this message of hope on to your friends.

 Additional Information:

We arrived in Canada 4 years ago full of hopes & dreams, moving here from Australia ready for a new adventure; another chapter in our whirlwind life. Life has been a rollercoaster of fun but scary at the same time, as we have moved all over the world, taking on new adventures, exploring new worlds.  We made good friends in all the countries we lived in & learned great things about many cultures as we moved around, although moving so much also meant the kids relied on each other for friendships, being often difficult to make & keep friends when we moved around so much.

Kieran's 3 brothers were born in Colorado, USA where we lived as a family for 8 years, where we were fortunate to have had a wonderful start to life. Unfortunately we had to leave the USA when work in the mining industry ran out,  Moving on to our next chapter in our lives, we ended up in Australia, where Kieran was born. We lived happily there for 9 years; first in Perth, Western Australia then on to Queensland where again life was good, as we focused on getting on with our lives; pursuing our kids education goals and dreams, although still conscious that my work in the mining industry was project based, meaning that we knew that one day we would / could have to up & leave for ‘greener pastures’.

With Kieran's older brothers starting into high school, we chose to seek more permanency for the family in North America where one of Kieran's brothers has faced extensive medical problems which cost us dearly.  With the recent downturn in mining, my project has been put on hold, resulting in our quest to give our kids the best of what ife can offer has been put on HOLD, as we are having to find ways to start our journey all over again. Despite all our knocks, I am confident that we will rise as we have done in the past which all takes time, as we and move onwards & upwards continuing along our journey of life.

This is the reason for reaching out to you all; please, asking you to help Kieran realize HIS dream that appears so close and yet so far away!!!!

Kieran was born in Australia, & he and his 3 USA born brothers engrossed themselves in baseball from an early age. He was always passionate about baseball & spent all of his free time training and dreamed of playing ball in colege and one day even aspiring to play with the Big Leaguers in the USA. Despite facing so much adversity in his earlier days, he has always managed to keep focused; driven by his passion for baseball & his quest for success in everthing he does through his academics as wel as his baseball.

Fortunately for Kieran  his dream has a silver lining as he HAS been noticed for his Academic Abilities and his baseball potential. He was accepted into a Canadian Baseball Academy last year and spent grade 9 in a school entrenched in a Gifted Program as well as the baseball academy; travelling through the eastern US seaboard playing high school as well as junior college teams, which he thoroughly enjoyed and further grew his baseball skills. Through advocacy for him, he was very fortunate to have come to the attention of a wonderful mentor, who is as passionate about baseball as much as Kieran is. Kieran is as talented academically as he is with his baseball and has been identified as MENSA often described as being “like Dr. Reid in Criminal Minds” constantly described as performing “off the charts with his academics”.  Last year in the high school academy  he lived away from home in a homestay arrangement & still managed to achieve great heights with his studies as a grade 9 student as well as with his baseball.

Through the engagement of his mentor, Kieran was invited to a high profile Elite Baseball Academy in Florida, where his tenacity and his perseverance paid off. At only 13 years old, he spent 8 weeks this summer playing in the 18U World Summer Baseball  League and came to the attention of coaches who nominated & presented him with the Gatorade Award for his ‘athletic achievements, academic excellence & his exemplary character' which was huge as Kieran's hard work and was recognized, as he has ALWAYS tried to do his best in everything he does. Furthermore his athletic ability was tested by Gatorade research scientists, as part of the Academy’s programming, again described as “Being off the charts” in terms of his athleticism.

Kieran also came to the attention of Inspiration Academy, a  Christian High School Baseball Academy in Florida, whose whole ethos is in keeping with what our family strive to be; good Christians raised through a school environment that focuses on empowering their students to be good Christians and good citizens, while taking a whole new approach to mentoring student athletes to be successful as they move on to realize their respective dreams in college and university.
Kieran's baseball abilities and skills as well as by his academic skills, has given him the opportunity of a lifetime being offered this athletic & academic scholarship but unfortunately, as it stands, Kieran may not be able to accept this fantastic offer, as we are faced with a shortfall for the remainder of fees and the cost of housing him in Florida.

We try never to take our talents and opportunities for granted, and to thank God for all that we are fortunate to receive & firmy believe that Kieran can use this opportunity to inspire others to achieve great outcomes too.

This truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity that we believe God has presented Kieran with, that won’t come around again; please help Kieran with a donation and invite your friends & colleagues to help raise funds to make his dream become a reality!!!

All it takes is a donation and you passing on this message of hope to your friends.

Thank you!!!
