Sandy Bradley is a masterful educator who has inspired students and teachers for 26 years. She has been a classroom teacher, an academic coach, and a graduation coach. Mrs. Bradley realizes that all children are unique, have different needs, and abilities. Sandy uses her many gifts to teach, motivate, and inspire students based on their needs. She makes an impact on every student in which she comes in contact. Whether it is an emotional or academic need, she is there to provide opportunities to nurture success.
Former students return to visit Mrs. Bradley to share their accomplishments and achievements, thanking her for these successes. Several of her former students have become educators because of her powerful influence. In recent years, Mrs. Bradley has worked with students who are at risk of dropping out of high school. Because of her willingness to listen, show compassion, and motivate students, the graduation rate at Dade County High School has risen from 71% to 95%! The students know that Mrs. Bradley does not merely have the desire for them to graduate, but she will move mountains to make it happen.
Mrs. Bradley is beloved by her colleagues. She always notices their accomplishments and has a kind and encouraging word to share. Her example reminds all educators why we chose this vocation.
Mrs. Bradley has recently been diagnosed with liver and colon cancer. She will travel back and forth to John Hopkins to receive treatment. Many people want to help Mrs. Bradley during this difficult time to let her know how much they care. If you would like to donate to help with the cost of travel and treatment (that is not covered by insurance), please do so. If you are unable to help financially, prayers are greatly appreciated.
