In loving memory: NYPD vet Yong Yun
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Diana. I am starting this GoFundMe for Police Officer Yong N. Yun's parents and sister. Yong and I were raised by our grandmother while our parents were out working 7 days a week. We are cousins but we were raised as siblings. He was my brother, my confidant, my partner in crime since day 1. He always took care of me and made sure I was okay and now it is my turn.
For everyone who knew him, he was very much all about his family. He was the oldest son, the provider of the house, and made sure he took care of his parents and sister. He was the breadwinner of the family. In our culture, it is customary for the oldest son to take care of his parents and ensure they are taken care of until they pass away as they took care of us from birth. He went over and beyond taking care of them and we were all proud of him every single day. All of us who knew him knows how self-less he was.
This may or may not have been known to many of you, but his parents both have health issues, especially his father who has early onset Parkinson's. Yong was taking care of his father's health needs, driving him back and forth to doctor's appointments, paying for expensive medication, doctor's visits, and making sure his parents were not over doing it at their buisness. He was also paying for his sister's college bills and providing for her while in school. With his tragic and sudden departure, his family is now facing hard and stressful times. I am starting this GoFundMe to help try ease their stresses and it would be immensely appreciated if friends, colleagues and anyone would see it in their hearts to donate something to help them in this heartbreaking moment.
I will be fowarding all donations to his sister Jina Yun and I will be the point of contact for this. I do appreciate everything and I am thanking all of you from the bottom of my heart and I know Yong is thanking all of you from Heaven above.
