Officer Patrick Mayfield Memorial Fund

On Friday, July 5, 2019 Deputy Patrick Mayfield's watch ended unexpectedly. Patrick leaves behind his wife Lisa and two sons, Seddrick and Devon.
Patrick spent his life giving to the community through his role as an officer with the Toccoa Police Department, an SRO with the Habersham Sheriff's Department and his role as a baseball coach. He has mentored many young persons in the communities he served.
Likewise his wife and her family have always been givers to the community and I am the fruit of their gifts. They taught me what it meant to have more than head knowledge of Jesus but taught me what it meant to be in love with and have a relationship with Jesus. That relationship has led me into a career as a United Methodist Pastor because it is my deepest desire to share that love in the way that this family shared it with me.
We now come to a time when those of us who have benefited from the love and gifts shared by this precious family to return those gifts in this time of shock and unexpected need. This go fund me page is being created to raise money to offset expenses that life insurance does not cover such as travel expenses and unpaid leave from jobs.
It is my prayer that the communities Patrick and Lisa have served will now serve them. If you are unable to assist financially please hold this entire family in your prayers.
